Today we had our last rehearsal and tomorrow we will shine!
We are very content with our little performance and we hope that the audience will get a glimpse of what living in the country side means for these kids. Tuesday, on the 29th of April, we are having our first performances on the stage of the Theater School from Craiova. We are very excited and very nervous in the same time!
Come and join us and make our day perfect! You can also come on Wednesday to see us play on the stage of the Art Highschool from Craiova! Today was the last meeting before Easter so the kids received presents before they went home. Our Easter bunny was Margit Schyborger who is a teacher in Stockholm. She sent us these presents from her students.
Thank you, Margit, for the joy you brought today! Happy Easter to everybody! Our colleagues from World Vision came and brought us the costumes we asked for and a lot of materials to have for creation. The children have as homework for the spring vacantion to personalize their costumes whith hand made creations.
Can't wait to see what they come up with! The days started to fly, we are getting closer and closer to the big final: the performance "My Story Romania". The big day is the 29th of April!
We finished writing our play, now we are finishing buliding up the performance. We have 6 meatings left until the premier week! We are nervous but we keep on working! Today we had another special day together with the kids from "My Story Romania". Our friends Marius, Ionut and Vali - three wonderful hairstylists - volunteered to come and cut their hair. Today we we were extra happy and we looked pretty, also!
Last week the love for the children took the shape of these wonderful muffins that our friend Alina baked for us! A very sweet day here in our sunny Romania.
We are getting closer to a perfect beginning for our performance. Exactly one month left until you can see "My Story Romania".
We are working every week with theater exercises that are meant to open up the children for the experience they are going to have on stage. It is easier to build strong children than to repair broken adults.
We believe in children and their power to change the world! |
